Launch of The Global Initiative for Sickle Cell Anemia

We are taking this opportunity to launch the Global Initiative for Sickle Cell Anemia. We seek to be a platform that brings together the vast range of SCD organisations around the world to share their impact footprint with the world through our website.

June 19th was officially designated as World Sickle Cell Awareness Day. The international awareness day is observed annually with the goal to increase public knowledge and an understanding of sickle cell disease, and the challenges experienced by patients and their families and caregivers.

We thank all our Global Associates for Supporting the Launch of the Global Initiative for Sickle Cell Anemia.
